Fix a Codex theme import
Most import problems come from an incomplete clipboard payload, choosing an unavailable variant, or stopping in Settings before opening Appearance. Copy the theme again, confirm the full codex-theme-v1 prefix, then import from Appearance.
Nothing was pasted
Allow clipboard access or use the selectable fallback string, then copy again. Compact layouts intentionally copy without trying to open a desktop deep link.
Codex rejected the string
Confirm the payload begins with codex-theme-v1: and was copied in full. Avoid adding quotation marks or copying only the JSON portion.
The requested variant is missing
Return to DexThemes and choose a variant shown as available. Theme URLs for unavailable variants correctly return 404.
Settings opened to the wrong section
Choose Appearance manually, then Import theme. DexThemes opens general Settings because there is no documented public Appearance-specific apply route.
